Job Description:

Responsibilities:  SUNY Westchester Community College (Peekskill Extension Center) seeks a P/T Technical Assistant for afternoons/evenings. The P/T Technical Assistant works with students and faculty assessing hardware and software needs, troubleshooting issues as they arise. They will work with the Senior Technician to configure classrooms and computer labs for faculty, which may include hardware configuration, connectivity and demonstration of use. They will also work with other technicians, tracking equipment loans and inventorying items as they are returned.  

 


Requirements:

Required Qualifications:  A minimum of a high school or equivalency diploma and one year of experience in the area of specialty is required.  The position requires working with both Windows and Apple operating systems as well as having some experience with the Adobe CC Suite, Microsoft Office 365 and familiarity with various social media platforms.

 


Additional Information:

Hourly Rate of Pay: $15.50  per hour. No benefits.
