Instructor of Practice - Accounting ACCO 4170 (Part-Time) Fall 2024
Job Description
This course is the initial exposure to the nature of the public accounting profession, the internal auditing profession, auditing principles and procedures, and the professional examinations (CPA, CIA, CMA) for most students. Students will demonstrate competency with auditing practices and procedures as well as communicate the audit findings. Time and day of week to be determined based on instructor preference, including the possibility of one night per week.
Duties and Responsibilities
The instructor is responsible for the effective delivery of the course as described in the course syllabus. The instructor must prepare and distribute the course syllabus, grade exams and other assignments in a timely manner and submit grades at the end of the semester due dates. The instructor must also have office hours at least once a week for a minimum of two hours.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Masters Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Teaching experience and proficiency with basic analytic tools is preferred but not required.
