Work Schedule: This tenure track position has summers off! Regular schedule is mid-Aug to mid-May with pay and benefits over 12 months.

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for providing instruction and serving as advisor to students enrolled in the Accounting Assistant Program each semester and during NIC’s six-week summer session.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience: Master’s Degree in Accounting or a related field and two years full-time equivalent recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of students, faculty, and staff from multi-cultural backgrounds.
Required License and/or Certifications:
Must achieve related Idaho CTE Postsecondary Limited Occupational Specialist Certification within first 12 months of employment.
- Strong skills in QuickBooks Online, Payroll, or Cost Accounting.
- Expert knowledge of the accounting cycle and GAAP.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- Ability to use a personal computer and associated peripherals and current version of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, Internet, and alternative delivery systems (e.g., internet and interactive video) at a proficient level.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment including phone and copier
