Community Health Centers of Southeastern Iowa, Inc. is recruiting a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to fill our current vacancy. CHC/SEIA is a national quality award winning non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Our MISSION is to provide quality comprehensive healthcare from a community-oriented partner which is accessible to all.

Our Community Health Center is headquartered in West Burlington, IA (population center of approximately 30,000) along with four other clinic sites in Burlington, IA, Columbus City, IA and Keokuk, IA. While considered “rural”, CHC/SEIA’s 40+ clinic providers serve a diverse patient population of 18,000+ with a variety of nationalities, cultures, and languages.

We are recruiting a CEO to lead our organization that is responsible for the overall organizational performance, including clinical, administrative, finance, and governance functions to ensure the mission of the organization is maintained. Proven executive level leadership and problem-solving skills required.

Qualifications for this position include:

• Master’s Degree required; Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Social Work (MSW), preferred or related master’s degree
• Minimum 5 year’s healthcare management experience, including three (3) years at the executive level, required
• Management in Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) preferred
• Multi-site healthcare management experience preferred
• Management experience in primary care, behavioral health, dental, pharmacy preferred

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for CHC/SEIA’s assets, staff, programs, services, to ensure consistent achievement of mission within its financial resources. Provides direct supervision to the Executive Leadership Team members and Administrative Support Services Manager. Responsible for the overall performance of the organization’s multi-site operations, including clinical, administrative, finance, and governance performance expectations, as directed by the Board or other regulatory agencies, to ensure the mission is achieved. Serves as the key link between the Board of Directors and the management team. CEO oversees the day-to-day operations of the organization at multiple sites. Performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with mission of CHC/SEIA. CEO is directly employed by the health center (CHC/SEIA) and cannot be considered the primary decision maker of the organization.
