Coordinator, Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Coordinator, Quality Enhancement Plan who will advance the institution’s proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.

Job Summary

Responsible for supporting the QEP Director and providing direction to faculty, staff, and students to facilitate the development and integration of student success strategies to support students in reaching their end goals, ensuring the QEP improves the student experience, retention and completion, and marks a student-centered cultural turning point for Houston Community College, and for managing the documentation and reporting requirements of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges standards (SACSCOC).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsible for assisting the Director in the development and integration of a student-centered approach for all HCC students under the direction of the QEP Director.

Provide management of QEP design projects and coordinates implementation.

Assist the Director in creating and maintaining a framework to monitor and determine the impact of the QEP throughout the college.

Collaborate with QEP Director to ensure a successful submission and implementation of the QEP assessment plan.

Schedule and organize System-wide meetings, trainings, seminars, summits, and special events for the QEP in collaboration with the QEP Director.

Track project milestones and deliverables with the QEP Director and Project Manager.

Assist the QEP Design and Implementation Team and document the arrangements for the visiting QEP site team.

Assist with coordinating the organizing and planning of the professional development activities related to accreditation and assessment of the Quality Enhancement Plan.

Assist with the facilitation of the QEP outreach and QEP marketing plans while assisting with maintaining/updating the QEP website with the QEP Director.

Monitor the process of identifying, recruiting, and selecting QEP Champions to assure a successful integration of the QEP.

Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

         Master’s degree required

         Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration preferred

         3 years experience in higher education required

         Experience in team-oriented pedagogies and approaches required

Licensing & Certification

         Valid Texas Driver License

Working Conditions

General Office.  Must be able to perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations; remain in a stationary position during shift; move items weighing up to 25 pounds; position self to operate job equipment; apply established protocols in a timely manner.  Must access, input and retrieve information from technology devices; communicate with others to accomplish job requirements.  May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
