DESCRIPTION

In this key Supply Chain leadership role, the successful candidate will develop strategy for, oversee deployment of, and continuously improve integration of technology with Supply Chain Services functions. Scope of responsibility will include ERP (Premier Connect), ServiceNow, and other key business applications to support Procurement, Contract Management, Inventory Planning and Management, Analytics, Data Integrity, Logistics, and Reporting functions.

The Director of Systems and Solutions directly leads and supervises the ERP Help desk, Accounts Payable, and Data and Analytics teams.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience with technology-based analysis of business practices, processes and problems; developing solutions which may involve process design, data and information architecture, and policy or procedural changes; creating specifications for systems to meet requirements; validating requirements against needs. May lead cross-functional teams to solve complex business or systems issues. Having wide-ranging experience, applies business process and analysis concepts and organizational objectives to resolve issues, up to and including the most complex, with organization-wide impact. Works on the most complex issues, with little or no organizational precedent, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Recognized as a subject matter expert.

Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Provides direction to staff according to established policies and management guidance. Administers policies that directly affect subordinate staff. Recommends changes to department policies and practices. Identifies risks and responds accordingly. Provide priority setting and work flow analysis.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage Supply Chain Management Services business systems and applications.Through subordinate supervisors and staff, accountable for systems maintenance and improvements, new technology identification and implementation, AP automation and processes, department SOPs, data integrity, and analytics and reporting.

  • Supports Supply Chain mission by keeping critical systems operating and improves productivity by leading process improvement efforts.Supports the organization by implementing and maintaining simple and intuitive customer facing tools.

  • Maintains critical business data and provides scheduled and ad hoc reports and analytics to internal and external customers, regulatory and accrediting bodies, and other requesting parties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in related area (e.g. Economics, Business Administration, Data Science, Supply Chain Management) and five or more years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of experience/training with an emphasis in computer science, data processing, computer information systems, or in a related field.

  • Experience and advanced knowledge of business and process analysis functions.

  • Knowledge relating to the design of processes and software across the organization.

  • Knowledge of business analysis processes and tools, including data visualization applications.

  • Requires expert-level knowledge and experience managing Premier Connect ERP within a large, complex academic medical center.

  • Requires expert-level experience in supply chain practices.

  • Knowledge of related areas of IT.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience implementing and working with Accounts Payable process automation vendors and solutions.
  • Experience selecting and implementing a materials management information system.
  • Experience performing all minimum and preferred qualifications at a large, complex, academic medical center.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $112,100 - $216,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $53.69 - $103.69

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
