Essential Job Duties

This position would ideally be able to assist with both Graduate Student Services duties as well as financial duties:

This position will assist with graduate student services for two disciplines within the department. The position will provide support to both disciplines and in regards the entire lifecycle of the students from recruitment to graduation.

Duties include:
Tracking degree requirements and assisting with student needs, as well as working with two Directors of Graduate Programs in the department.
Scheduling courses for the department.
Monitoring progress of graduate students.
Serving as the first point of contact for current and prospective students
Organizing, administering, and managing course and instructor evaluations, enter courses in TRACS and support development of course action documents.
Conducting some simple financial responsibilities such as (but not limited to) Service Now, Invoices, and P-card statement approvals.

M-F, between the hours of 8 AM - 5 PM (20-40 hours per week)

Other Work/Responsibilities

Other specific duties will include processing admissions applications, prompting students to meet critical deadlines, and process all actions related to the students’ academic progress. Thus the incumbent must work closely with other campus units such as the Graduate School, Registration and Records, and the Cashiers Office. Other administrative duties as assigned.

Minimum Experience/Education

Computer Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat ,and Peoplesoft or similar software.
Experience using at least one of the following: Students Information Systems
SIS, Infoweb, NextGen, or similar software programs.
Experience using spreadsheets, formulas database management.
Strong Internet and email skills.




Department Required Skills

Computer Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Peoplesoft or similar software.
Experience using at least one of the following: Students Information Systems
SIS, Infoweb, NextGen, or similar software programs.
Experience using spreadsheets, formulas database management.
Strong Internet and email skills.

Must be self-initiating, detail orientated, and the ability to multi-task effectively.
Ability to create an organizational system of working including files and calendaring to ensure tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Financial side of role will include:
PCards – working with card holders in uploading correct documentation
Travel Reimbursements – entering into the system for non employees
Payment Works – setting up new vendors

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
