SENIOR DIRECTOR FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY: The Senior Director for Information Technology will be a key member of the senior leadership team, to lead and optimize the organization’s IT systems and services by driving strategic planning, innovation, and modernization. This role ensures secure infrastructure, efficient resource management, and alignment of technology with organizational goals.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Leads efficient operation of the team so that prompt modernization and upgrades of IS are performed as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Leadership:

· Set the strategic vision and guide the development, acquisition, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems.

· Determine the IT services required to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

· Cultivate a collaborative and innovative atmosphere, mentor team members, and deliver inventive, high-quality solutions.

IT Operations and Services:

· Oversee the planning, organization, and administration of various IT services.

· Manage and maintain data backup systems, ensuring data is regularly backed up and securely stored.

· Oversee the security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.

Resource Management:

· Stress the importance of resource management, promote operational transparency, and foster innovation.

· Plan financial expenditures for IT, including investments in new technology.

Other Responsibilities:

· Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

· A total of five years (60 months) of experience is required, which may include any combination of the following:

- Bachelor’s degree (120 semester hours), equivalent to three years (36 months).

- Professional work experience in IT-related roles, such as hardware/software support, programming, network design, network engineering, IT systems integration, or a closely related field, including supervisory or lead worker responsibilities. Advanced experience with technical design, implementation and management of information technology and data systems.

· Experience with Linux.

· Experience with virtual server environments.

· Experience in programming languages such as Object Oriented, COBOL, FORTRAN, SQL, ColdFusion, and SAS.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

· Prior supervisory and project management experience in information systems.

· Skill in conversing fluently in non-technical terms and in presenting data processing equipment applications to users.

· Skill in understanding, developing, communicating, and expressing ideas.

· Demonstrated human relations skills.

· Experience with, or adequate knowledge of, the Illinois Community College System.

If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position, you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience, and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score. The ICCB has statutory responsibility for administering state and federal grants to community college districts and adult education providers and managing high school equivalency testing for Illinois. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $72,625.00 per year
