Candidate will be responsible for both in-person, online learning and skills learning, in addition to consistent communication with students. Candidate will use Blackboard in addition to face-to-face teaching. Employment is contingent on enrollment per term. Teaching experience is not required, however, any teaching and/or training experience will be considered. There is no student clinical externship. This is a part-time position with a maximum of up to nineteen (19) hours per week.
Specific Position Duties
- Teaches the depth and scope of class materials as outlined in the syllabus and catalog, and relates the instruction to careers and employer expectations.
- Implements evaluation for outcomes assessment, and achieves established results while maintaining college standards of student satisfaction.
- Works creatively and collaboratively with classes to ensure student persistence.
- Begin and end each class at the designated times, providing a full period of instruction.
- Responsible for keeping the classroom and/or laboratory clean, organized, and ready for the next user.
- Provide support to students requiring additional academic assistance and tutoring.
- Submits at designated times, grades for all students on the class roster.
- Accurately maintains attendance records in accordance with the Attendance Policy; submits class roster daily; maintains a separate record of attendance and grades that is clearly labeled and turned in at the end of the term.
- Calls all students who are absent and submits written reports of pertinent information to the Program Director.
- May be required to attend adjunct instructor trainings, in-service meetings and other college events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must have at least three (3) years of documented work experience in this teaching field.
Reporting Relationship
This position reports to the Director of Health Careers.
