Summary of Position

Working as a member of the Admissions Department, the Admissions Officer II is responsible for the recruitment and matriculation of qualified prospective students. This externally-facing position is responsible for recruitment related activities directly responsible for new student outreach.

JD degree, previous law school admissions experience, experience working with non-traditional student populations and online learners bar admission.

Duty/Responsibility

Develop and administer recruitment and yield strategy: In conjunction with the Associate Dean for Administration and Admissions colleagues, formulate admissions goals; identify recruitment strategies to achieve approved goals; develop and execute recruitment and yield strategies to include on- and off-campus recruiting events, online information sessions, campus visits, traveling to recruiting events nationwide (approximately 20-25% travel, concentrated in the fall); develop and send electronic and written marketing communications. Correspond with prospective students in person, via telephone, postal mail, electronic mail, and social media. Regularly assess and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve goals. Make recommendations for process improvements. Provide support to additional areas within the Admissions Office as needed.

Duty/Responsibility

Review applications for admission, recommend admission and scholarship decisions: Review applications for admission to UNH Law in accordance with UNH and law school policy, as well as ABA standards and LSAC best practices. Prepare admission and scholarship recommendations in accordance with established enrollment goals. Communicate decisions to applicants. Correspond with admitted applicants to proactively identify and resolve enrollment and financial aid concerns.

Duty/Responsibility

Serve on School of Law, UNH and professional committees: represent Office of Admissions on School of Law and UNH committees as requested. Support nationwide legal education community through service to LSAC, ABA and other professional organizations.
