Clinic Service Representative - Schedulers

What You'll Do

Schedulers' job duties
Monitor clinical activity of assigned dental students
Answer, triage live calls. Return patient calls from voicemail as needed
Facilitate the scheduling or rescheduling of patient appointments with the aim of upholding a comprehensive and productive schedule.
Respond to emails and phone calls from staff, faculty, and students regarding patient scheduling.
Assist students with daily inquiries.
Greet patients chairside and schedule appointments.
Work with student providers to determine return dates for patient care.
Check out patients in axiUm chairside during the clinic session.

Financial Services job duties 
Assist with cashiering responsibilities of accepting and posting patient payments
Daily cash reconciliation
Assist with financial questions 
Support information desk with patient registration
Ensure accurate registration by verifying demographics and insurance information appropriately
Review cases prior to the day of appointment to ensure that the requested authorization has been received. 
Review and correct student's patients accounts


Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications*

Experience in a medical or dental healthcare environment. 
Experience in entering patient information in an electronic health information system. 
Demonstrate cashiering and reconciling daily receipts experience. 
Provide excellent customer service and be able to respond to patient concerns in a professional manner. 
Excellent communication skills. 
Excellent punctuality and attendance record. 
Excellent organizational skills. 
Excellent attention to detail. 
Excellent ability to multitask.
CPR Certified 

Desired Qualifications*

Experience working with scheduling software.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google.
Responds positively to change, showing a willingness to learn new ways to work.
 

Work Schedule

Work schedule will be 9am-6pm Monday- Friday, alternating Thursday until 8pm

This is an onsite positions at the School of Dentistry, 1011 North University Ave, Ann Arbor, MI  48109
