Under supervision, maintains full responsibility of all cash and sales transactions. Operates Point of Sale system rapidly and accurately. Makes coffee and maintains cleanliness of coffee station and surrounding area. Cleans dining room tables and stocks retail cafe. Meets customer needs using diplomacy, tact, and flexibility while upholding department standards and policies. Performs other related tasks as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSOne (1) year of cashiering experience, preferably in a food service setting.
Superb customer service skills and excellent communication skills.
Proven ability to identify and use POS data management systems accurately.
Demonstrated ability to follow all cashiering policies and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English.
Must be able to work variable shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $45,226 - $57,357 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $21.66 - $27.47
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
