Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director of Athletics Development/Senior Associate Director of Athletics, the Associate/Senior Associate Director of Athletics Development is responsible for overseeing the execution of fundraising activities in support of Fordham’s tradition-rich Athletics program comprising 22 intercollegiate and 14 club sports.
Primary responsibilities include coordinating strategic operations, pipeline development, and managing a prospect portfolio.
This position requires occasional work hours on evenings and weekends and occasional overnight travel.
Essential Functions
- Assists the Senior Director of Athletics Development/Senior Associate Director of Athletics in prospect management operations for the Athletics Development team, pulling necessary reports.
- Ensures comprehensive prospect portfolios are developed and include prospects representing all teams and clubs. Coordinates a periodic refresh of gift officer portfolios.
- Supervises the contact reporting process for assigned athletics prospects to ensure activity is posted regularly.
- Manages the donor acknowledgment to ensure all donors are thanked appropriately and promptly.
- Conducts, along with DAUR colleagues, a comprehensive review of the prospect pipeline to identify opportunities to maximize giving.
- Participates in key athletics events and DAUR functions.
- Manages a portfolio of approximately 175 annual giving prospects.
- Devises individual engagement strategies for each prospect in their pool with the goal of soliciting annual gifts and/or multi-year gift commitments at the $1,000 level+, with specific solicitation goals to be determined in an annual goal-setting process.

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Associate Director of Athletics Development: Minimum of 4 years of fundraising experience or a combination of fundraising and equivalent experience driving athletics revenue in progressively responsible positions.
- Senior Associate Director of Athletics Development: Minimum of 5 years of fundraising experience or a combination of fundraising and equivalent experience driving athletics revenue in progressively responsible positions.

- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Familiarity with database and CRM tools.

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with CRM Advance and/or Blackbaud Fundraiser Performance Management.
- Capital campaign experience.
Minimum Starting Salary: $80,000
Maximum Starting Salary: $90,000
Note: Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
