Summary of Position

The Director of Paul College Graduate Enrollment and Advising provides strategic and operational leadership for all activities related to the recruitment, retention, and advising of graduate students within Paul College. This includes remaining current with market trends and needs; collaborating with deans, faculty directors, and students to develop new programs; continuously improving the quality of existing programs; and assessing program outcomes. The director works with the dean’s office and faculty to determine admissions and academic standards for both new and existing programs and collaborates with the college’s director of marketing & communications, the UNH graduate school, and the VP of enrollment management to develop and implement marketing and recruiting strategies. The director oversees the development and supervision of graduate admissions and advising staff members and is also responsible for developing and monitoring budgets that support office and program activities. The director serves as a decision-maker and problem-solver interfacing with faculty, staff, students, administrators, and alumni. The director is accountable for growing enrollments in graduate programs, ensuring quality student services are provided, and works across the organization to solve complex and confidential student concerns.

Duty/Responsibility

Responsible for strategic and operational leadership for all activities related to the recruitment, retention, programming, and advising of graduate students within Paul College:
• Hire, train, supervise and develop professional, administrative, and student staff within the Graduate admissions and advising office
• Collaborate with Paul College leaders & faculty and Graduate School colleagues to identify new program opportunities and ensure quality of current programs
• Develop, interpret, and share data that provide stakeholders with relevant information about graduate program processes and outcomes
• Collaborate with Institutional Research & Assessment on rankings survey strategy and completion

Duty/Responsibility

Responsible for development/oversight of Paul College graduate enrollment management strategy and operations, including:
• Targeted outreach strategies for segmented populations of prospective & admitted students, including international, current UG, etc.
• Develop and maintain corporate/other partnerships to drive enrollment in Paul College graduate programs. Coordinate with other UNH units also seeking/signing partnerships.
• Provide accurate and up to date information for all faculty and staff engaged in marketing and/or recruiting efforts.
• Develop, deploy, & assess scholarship and discounting strategies to support enrollment goals.
• Collaborate with Director of marketing & communication to allocate graduate marketing budget.
• Ensure admissions processes and policies are equitable, fair, and timely.

Duty/Responsibility

Develop and lead strategy and operations related to graduate student advising and programming, including:
• Work with advising team to develop and implement programming that enhances student engagement, involvement, and success throughout the student journey.
• Oversee development, revision, and application of all administrative policies and procedures applicable to graduate student and programs in Paul College.
• Manage graduate advisors to monitor student success, triage concerns, and refer students to appropriate resources.
• Consult with faculty on student concerns, including academic integrity violations and student conduct issues and maintain necessary communications with the Graduate School, dean of students, and UNH police when needed.
• Working with faculty and the dean’s office on the budget, program, and logistics for any program related travel.

Duty/Responsibility

Responsible for development and oversight of budgets for all graduate programs.

Other strategic initiatives at the direction of the Dean or Associate Dean for Graduate Education.
