Job Description
Moore is a center founded in 2012 with a generous gift from the Dr. Stephen and Mrs. Julia Moore family, who courageously decided to fund a research center that would create, through rigorous science, a public health approach to preventing child sexual abuse. Moore is purposefully “seated” within the Department of Mental Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, a leading international authority on public health dedicated to protecting health and saving lives. Moore strives to prevent child sexual abuse through the collective power of world-leading scientific research, applied insights, and change-making collaboration.
Moore is currently seeking a Curriculum Implementation and Management Specialist to support the development, evaluation, and dissemination of several curricula and programs designed to prevent problematic sexual behaviors and child sexual abuse. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to transformative public health initiatives within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Curriculum Implementation and Management Specialist will be responsible for taking a leadership role in variety of curriculum and research related tasks including training development, curriculum oversight and modification, research project management, and recruitment of various stakeholders to support Moore research. Moore is a highly collaborative group that works together on events and initiatives to support their overall mission both within the United States (U.S.) and internationally. To this end, the Curriculum Implementation and Management Specialist will be responsible for the duties and responsibilities below as well as additional duties as needed to support Moore’s broader efforts.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Training Development
- Lead the creation of training programs for educators and other program facilitators including establishing a “train the trainer” model, leading facilitator coaching efforts, and overseeing implementation fidelity.
- Adapt training models to fit within various cultures.
Curriculum Oversight and Modification
- Manage the implementation of curricula for multiple projects including development of timelines, measures, and procedures, conducting training sessions, and overseeing implementation fidelity.
- Collaborate with curriculum development team to manualize curricula.
- Collaborate on the modification and development of curriculum activities and lesson plans as needed based on research outcomes, adaptations for other languages and cultures, and for implementation in various formats or settings.
- Assist with development of content and tools (e.g., websites) for curricula, managing projects to build, maintain, and update content and tools as needed.
- Serve as program facilitator.
Research Project Management
- Lead implementation related research protocols for multiple studies; contributing to the development of protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct data collection to support curriculum related research projects, including leading focus groups and advisory board discussions.
- Serve as a liaison between implementation sites and project team members and facilitate meetings, trainings, and other events between project stakeholders.
- Oversee administrative tasks for research projects (e.g., setting up contracts, tracking project timelines and deadlines, IRBs, etc.).
- Develop and track project budgets related to curriculum development, dissemination, and evaluation.
- Provide support and guidance to investigators with grant applications, reports, presentations, and publications.
- Assist project manager in training staff visiting schools as needed.
Recruitment
- Develop recruitment protocols and oversee recruitment efforts for diverse populations, including schools, parents, educators, and students.
- Lead recruitment efforts for implementation sites for various programs. Sites include but are not limited to schools and other youth-serving organizations.
- Develop, utilize, and track the performance of recruitment tools for various studies.
Additional duties to support the Moore Center as needed – Including, but not limited to,
- Planning and executing Moore events, including an annual conference.
- Oversee procurement of supplies, booking rooms, and booking services to support projects and Moore meetings/events.
- Provide administrative support for projects and the overall Moore team as needed (e.g., honoraria and travel reimbursements).
- This position will include routine changes to work hours to accommodate the needs of national and international projects. These changes may include availability for U.S. and international based meetings (virtual and in person) and will require national and international travel.

- Ability to analyze educational data to inform instructional strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to support the diverse portfolio of projects conducted by the Moore team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline. Related Master's preferred.
- Five years related experience, including demonstrated supervisory or lead responsibilities.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Education, Public Health, or a related field preferred.
- Experience teaching health education in a public-school setting preferred but not required.
- Experience in coaching educators or facilitating professional development sessions is preferred.
- Availability to travel to project sites within the United States and internationally and reliable transportation for local travel.
- At least three years’ experience implementing interventions for research studies.
- Minimum of three years teaching experience, preferably working in an educational setting with middle school students.

Starting Salary Range: $55,800 - $97,600 Annually ($80,000 targeted; Commensurate with experience)
