Summary of Position

Under the supervision of the Peter T. Paul College Career Director, this position is central to the college Career and Professional Success operations. This role will involve counseling students and alumni in exploring educational, personal or career goals; identifying interests, skills, exploring internship/experiential learning opportunities; relating majors and competencies to career options; developing concrete action steps to advance career options and the job search process. Work on events such as networking nights and employer events. Join a team of career professionals who are passionate about delivering high level services. Paul College Careers has ranked in the top 50 of college career centers according to Poets and Quants Rankings of business schools.

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, education, counseling, or related field as well as an additional 10 plus years of experience required, OR Master’s Degree plus 5 years of experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication techniques
  • Strong computer skills and ability to quickly adapt to new technologies/tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to work efficiently and with careful attention to detail
  • Experience working with emerging adults, and diverse student populations

Preferred Qualifications


  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Experience working with college students ideally in an advising capacity
  • Understanding of issues facing college students from diverse backgrounds
  • Experience using directed communication tools
  • Experience in creating and making presentations
  • Experience coordinating events
